What are short-term rentals?

In Kelowna, it is any dwelling that is rented out for 29 days or less.

What types of properties do you manage?

Houses­­, apartments, townhomes, and cottages. Be advised that new BC legislation has been enacted surrounding short-term rentals and which properties will now be eligible. Contact us for more information.

How much do you charge? What is your commission model?

Commission rates range from 18% to 24% of gross revenue, depending on the type of property that will be listed. For example, houses tend to require more care and attention, placing them higher in the commission range.

On the other hand, condos need fewer logistics to operate and tend to fall lower within the range. However, each property and client relationship is unique, and we would be happy to find where you fall on the spectrum! Please feel free to contact us for more information.

Does the homeowner require a license for short-term rentals?

If you live in a municipality with over 10,000 people, yes; however, most Ski Resorts are exempt from this.  R&R can advise you on filling out the forms you’ll need to submit to the city. The necessary paperwork can be found at

Who pays for cleaning my property?

Housekeeping fees are charged to the guest, as are any damages we find.

Will my property be damaged if I list it as a short-term rental?

Yes, damages will happen; however, you can rest assured that not only are the vast majority of damages extremely minor, but our team diligently inspects your listing after every guest. All damages are reported, documented, filed for, and repaired promptly, leaving your listing at a 5-star standard.
